Activities

The activities of the ELA include, generally:

• Annual ELA national conferences for members as well as non-members interested in, or affected by environmental law developments in South Africa;
• Regional ELA workshops/seminars on current themes and recent environmental law developments;
• Commenting on proposed environmental legislation, policies or other activities of government and the private sector that relate to, or may impact on, the environment;
• The distribution of information on movements and trends in environmental law development, application and enforcement in South Africa; and
• The distribution of the South African Journal for Environmental Law and Policy (SAJELP) to ELA members.
